In this work new derivatives of salicylic acid were synthesized by hydrazonolysis of methyl salicylate and hydrazine hydrate to get C, further treated with various aromatic aldehydes to get compounds C1-C5. Lead compounds were characterized by melting point, TLC, elemental analysis, IR, 1H-NMR and mass spectral data. All the synthesized compounds were screened for in-vitro anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant activity and anti-tubercular activity.
